Magic “e” Books!
With these books students will first read the word with the short
vowel sound, then fold the flap to read the word with the long vowel
sound. Students learn, in a hands-on way, how the sound of a vowel
changes when an “e” is added to the end of the word. (The “e” is
shown in light print to show that it makes no sound of its own.)
